Coalition is seeking a full-time Quality Control Supervisor in our manufacturing plant's Quality Control Laboratory. They will play a key role in the analytical evaluation and testingof chemical products and raw materials. This role ensures consistent productquality through routine and non-routine testing, maintaining detailed laboratory records, and supporting compliance with ongoing quality and safetystandards. In addition, supporting Operators and Lab Technicians, managingsample flow, and contributing to continuous improvement in lab operations willbe key requirements for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control Testing & SampleManagement

  • Regularly perform chemical, physical, and instrumental testing on raw materials,  in-process materials, and finished products in accordance with SOPs and industry standards.
  • Maintain sample inventory, log incoming materials, prepare shipments, and organize retention samples per established protocols.
  • Ensure accurate sample tracking and chain of custody documentation.

Laboratory Documentation & RecordKeeping

  • Maintain records of test data, observations, and results in lab notebooks, LIMS, or  electronic documentation systems.
  • Adhere to  Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Prepare Certificates of Analysis (CoA) and other regulatory documentation.

Quality Assurance Support

  • Conduct  audits of laboratory data and reports for accuracy and compliance.
  • Support internal audits, inspections, and investigations related to  out-of-specification (OOS) results and non-conformances.
  • Assist in  implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and continuous  improvement initiatives.

Equipment Operation & Maintenance

  • Operate,  calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments (e.g., HPLC, GC, FTIR,  UV-Vis, titrators).
  • Troubleshoot  equipment issues and escalate concerns as necessary to ensure continuous  lab function.
  • Participate  in qualification and validation of instruments and test methods.

Compliance & Safety

  • Follow all  safety protocols, chemical hygiene plans, and hazardous material handling  procedures.
  • Ensure  compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, cGMP,  EPA, OSHA) and internal quality systems.
  • Participate in ongoing training related to safety, quality, and technical procedures.

Team Leadership & Training

  • Mentor and train Production Operators and Junior Lab Technicians, promoting best practices and adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Promote a  culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement within the  lab team.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a chemical quality control or analytical lab, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards,  quality assurance systems, analytical techniques, and chemical safety  protocols.
  • Strong understanding of chemical analysis methods and techniques.
  • Proficiency in laboratory software (LIMS, instrument-specific programs) and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
